Our Team at MMC

Our medical team includes more than 100 team members. Collectively and individually, the members of our staff at Meadville Medical Center are devoted to providing the highest level of care for patients across the spectrum of our services. We offer 37 medical and surgical specialties at MMC, along with an extensive foundation in primary care. Most of our patients come to us from Crawford County, as well as the surrounding region. MMC consists of a merger of three hospitals, dedicated to serving patients throughout northwest Pennsylvania and providing the best care for our community.

Award-winning Care

Over the years, MMC has received a long list of awards recognizing our superior standards of service and our dedication to the excellence of our care. This includes being 1 of just 21 hospitals in Pennsylvania to receive the 2016 Healthgrades Patient Safety Award, and 1 of just 3 hospitals to be named among the top 5% in the nation for patient safety and to be a 5-star recipient for treatment of Stroke in 2016. We are also the only hospital in Pennsylvania to receive the Healthgrades Patient Safety Award and to be named one of Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery™ in 2016. We are one of just 10 hospitals in PA to be recognized among the top 5% in the country for patient safety.

Serving Our Community with Excellence

Meadville Medical Center (MMC) is an excellent and dedicated community hospital serving patients in Meadville, Pennsylvania. We work constantly to meet the needs of our community by maintaining state-of-the-art facilities with modern equipment and technology. We are leaders in healthcare in Northwest Pennsylvania, with the newest technology, including the latest generation of ultrasound, computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology. Our staff of more than 100 medical professionals includes 37 medical / surgical specialties, with an extensive primary care foundation.

Who We Serve

Our service area includes 75,000 individuals in Crawford County as well as an additional 150,000 individuals throughout Northwest Pennsylvania. MMC has inpatient admissions of approximately 7,617 patients per year, and more than 215,742 outpatient visits. The Emergency Department alone reports 37,690 visits annually. In addition, approximately 650 babies are born here each year.
